The End User Computing Delivery Lead is responsible for contributing to the Department’s future end user computing approach and leading any subsequent approaches to market for these services. The successful applicant will need to have an overall good understanding of the technology, commercial, and pricing elements relevant to end user computing. This includes: Technical proficiency and understanding of device, private and public cloud solutions and services for end user computing (e.g. servers, storage, networks, security) , and how they support end users. An understanding of Microsoft Azure End User Capabilities An understanding of Cyber Security Essential 8 and how it applies to device, private and public cloud solutions and services. An understanding of, and implementation experience in, contemporary multi-vendor operating models. An understanding of the commercial considerations of device, private and public cloud solutions and services, and how this applies in IT outsourcing context. Responsible for leading and managing a leveraged team that will deliver the Department’s future end user computing approach, including on time delivery in accordance with the Department’s business requirements. The role provides operational oversight of a leveraged end user delivery team. Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate to stakeholders, Executive and technical staff. Ability to develop clear and concise requirements documentation for inclusion in future approaches to market. Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to identify gaps in strategy, delivery, and capability, resolve complex issues and seek consensus. Work as a team member in the IT Sourcing Program contributing to the overall success of the Program. Ability to work under pressure with close attention to detail. This includes the ability to plan, coordinate, and track progress of various activities within agreed timelines. Skills and Experience to succeed in this role: Previous experience in implementing large scale Government ICT outsourcing arrangements, including experience in requirements development, tender evaluation, contract negotiation, and service implementation. Previous experience in leading a team in the implementation of large scale Government ICT outsourcing arrangements. Previous experience in working with a wide range of complex and intertwining issues to reach consensus on ICT outsourcing arrangements. Strong verbal and written communication and documentation skills. The ability to present information and communicate expectations across conflicting priorities/workloads Deliverables • Working with a vast array of stakeholders to gain consensus on the requirements included in approaches to market. • Leading a leveraged team that delivers relevant approaches to marker within agreed timeframe and budget, including requirements development, tender evaluation, contract negotiation, and service implementation. • Supporting the Sourcing Lead, Project Manager and Program Office in their deliverables. • Regular reporting, document build, change and communications strategy/delivery. Location and Contract Term This role is being offered to those in Canberra. Initial contract for 12 months. 3 x 12-month extensions available.
