About the role
Reporting to the Rollingstock Supervisor , you will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repair tasks for our fleet of locomotives, track maintenance mobile equipment and associated mechanical plant. You will be a key member of the Rolling Stock maintenance team , achieving targets in relation to safety, quality and productivity.

Relevant trade qualification (Diesel Fitter, Mechanical Fitter or Equivalent trade) Manual Driver's License
Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
Ability to be self-motivated and organised
Must hold Full Working rights in Australia
Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow in a supportive team environment.
The following additional skills will be highly regarded , and the successful applicant will either already hold the below qualifications/licences or be willing to obtain through training and assessment for competency: Mobile Plant Maintenance
Hydraulic Equipment Maintenance / Troubleshooting Gearbox, Transmission repairs and overhaul
Ability to weld and use lathe/milling machines
Basic Rigging, Forklift, Overhead and Mobile Crane
