Meriton Suites currently has an opportunity for a dynamic and innovative hotelier to join our housekeeping operations team in Sydney as Relief Housekeeping Manager.
About the Role
As the Relief Housekeeping Manager, you will enjoy working across a collection of hotels and uphold the responsibilities of a brand ambassador for Meriton Suites.
You will work closely with the Regional Housekeeping Manager NSW / ACT / VIC in making recommendations and to implement changes as appropriate for our Housekeeping teams, whilst providing housekeeping operational support across our NSW hotels.
With our centralised and strategic headquarters in Sydney, consistency of product and service standards across our brand are paramount. You will be supported greatly in your role to ensure the delivery of our company vision and mission.
Your key responsibilities
Daily allocations of rooms and duties.
Manage all training of staff.
Co-ordination of workforce to meet daily deadlines.
Deliver efficient preparation, cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms in accordance with Hotel standards and guest expectations.
Effective time management capabilities with a methodical management style.
Attend to guest enquiries and requests.
Stock control and ordering.
Working with and managing externally contracted team members.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and high performance team culture.
To be successful in this role you will have
Previous hotel housekeeping senior leadership experience and enjoy leading and mentoring a variety of different teams.
Passion in cultivating a positive and safe workplace environment.
Drive hotel performance while strictly adhering to relevant WHS legislations and employment law.
Coach and provide constructive feedback. Take pride in supporting accelerated professional development of team members.
Hands‑on approach that provides great support to daily operations.
Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
Proven track record in providing excellent accommodation standards in a large scale 4- or 5‑star hotel or serviced apartment environment.
Proven leadership abilities.
In depth industry knowledge.
Natural eye for detail in cleanliness and overall housekeeping operations.
Immaculately presented.
Focused and passionate about guest service. Team oriented and able to work under pressure.
