Location: Benalla, Northeast Victoria Duration: 4 weeks, starting from 8th April 2024 About Us: Our bustling clinic in the heart of Benalla, a charming town nestled in Northeast Victoria approximately 2.5 hours from Melbourne, is in urgent need of a GP-VMO locum to join our team for a four-week period.

We are a dedicated practice with a team of 8 doctors, including 2 fellowed GPs, 5 registrars at various levels of training, and 1 International Medical Graduate (IMG).

We pride ourselves on offering comprehensive healthcare services, not only within our clinic but also extending our support to the local hospital by servicing their Urgent Care Centre and admitting patients to the Acute Ward.

Role Description: The locum will be required to cover the full range of General Practitioner duties in the clinic, along with VMO responsibilities at Benalla Health.

This includes but is not limited to, managing a diverse range of patient presentations in both the clinic and hospital settings, providing care in the Urgent Care Centre, and admitting and managing patients in the Acute Ward.

The successful candidate will not be required to provide supervision within the clinic, allowing for a focused commitment to patient care and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in both the clinic and hospital settings.

Provide medical care to a wide range of patient presentations in the Urgent Care Centre.

Admit and manage patients in the Acute Ward at Benalla Health.

Collaborate with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

No supervision responsibilities are required, but a collaborative and supportive approach to team interactions is essential.

Requirements: Full AHPRA registration as a General Practitioner.

Previous experience in a VMO role, with competency in managing acute presentations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to providing patient-centered care.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
