About the Role

We are searching for an experienced Head of Project Accounting to join our Finance team at DT Global Asia Pacific. Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to‑day operations of project financial management across DT Global APAC’s project portfolio.

This is a pivotal role for someone who combines strong technical finance expertise with proven team leadership skills. You will lead a team of 12 Project Accountants, drive financial reporting excellence, and work closely with project directors, program teams, and corporate finance to ensure the highest standards of financial management across a complex, multi‑country portfolio.

About You

Duties and essential requirements for this role will include:


Lead and manage a team of 12 Project Accountants, including line management of 6, providing day‑to‑day oversight, mentoring, performance management, and capacity building

Oversee the full project accounting monthly cycle including project establishment, completion processes, cash flow forecasting, revenue recognition, client invoicing, and budget and forecast review prior to submission to the Corporate Finance team

Review and approve project funds advance requests, project journals, month‑end cashbook journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and key project financial reports including cashflow forecasts, backlog, WIP aging, and debtor reports

Collaborate with Project Directors and program management teams to ensure Project Accountant support is aligned to project requirements, and partner with other departments including Operations, IT, Business Development, and Legal to ensure efficient workflows

Lead on external audit requests related to project revenue recognition, project expenses, and project balance sheet accounts, and work closely with the Corporate Finance Manager to ensure project financials are accurately reflected in the General Ledger

Develop and improve project financial reporting systems and processes, maintain compliance with DT Global APAC policies and the Quality Management System, and travel to region where significant project financial issues arise.

Essential Requirements

CPA or CA qualification with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Minimum 8 years’ finance experience with particular expertise in project financial management, ideally within international development or a similarly complex, multi‑country environment.

Proven team leadership and management skills, including the ability to mentor, develop, and manage performance across a diverse, cross‑cultural team

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with strong analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure to tight deadlines both autonomously and as part of a team.

The ability to work and manage diverse cultural teams, ensuring an environment of inclusiveness
