As the business continues to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and strategic Group Brand & Engagement Manager to lead Byrnecut’s brand, communications and engagement functions at a group level.
This newly refreshed and highly influential role is responsible for protecting, enhancing and unifying the Byrnecut brand across multiple entities, while driving strategic marketing, communication and engagement initiatives that support commercial growth, people strategies and organisational reputation.

The Role
Reporting to the Group General Manager – Commercial, you will lead the development and delivery of Byrnecut’s Group-wide marketing, branding and communications strategy, ensuring alignment across all internal and external channels.
You will shape how Byrnecut communicates with employees, clients, industry partners and the broader community—driving consistency, clarity and influence across a multi‑entity environment.
Key areas of responsibility include:
Strategic Marketing & Brand Leadership
Develop and implement the Group’s marketing and communications strategies, including annual plans.
Ensure consistent application of brand standards across all Byrnecut entities.
Protect and enhance the organisation’s brand reputation globally.
Provide strategic advice to senior leadership across commercial, people and operations.
Internal Communication & Engagement
Lead Group-wide internal communication strategies.
Support employee engagement, retention and recruitment initiatives.
Partner closely with People & Culture and Operations teams on communication frameworks.
External Communications & Digital
Oversee digital platforms including the website, social media and EDM channels.
Manage content creation across digital, print and presentation formats.
Lead Byrnecut’s presence at industry events, sponsorships and community engagements.
Support executive communications, speeches and industry publications.
Bid, Tender & Commercial Support
Provide senior marketing expertise for tenders and bids.
Oversee messaging, capability statements, case studies and presentation standards.
Deliver ROI analysis on major campaigns and initiatives.
Leadership
Lead, mentor and develop a small but high‑impact marketing team.
Foster innovation, continuous improvement and cross‑functional collaboration.
About You
We are seeking a senior marketing or communications leader who brings:
Essential
Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Business or similar.
8–12+ years’ experience in senior marketing, brand or communications roles.
Proven strategic capability paired with practical, hands‑on delivery skills.
Strong experience supporting tenders, bids or commercial growth initiatives.
Excellent written, verbal and stakeholder engagement skills.
High levels of commercial acumen and the ability to influence senior leaders.
Preferred
Experience in mining, construction, engineering or heavy industry environments.
Exposure to multi‑entity or multi‑brand organisations.
Strong digital marketing and analytics experience.
Experience in ESG, community or stakeholder engagement.
