Do you enjoy working outdoors and want to build a hands-on career in horticulture?
At Hamilton Group, we care for some of Geelong's most iconic heritage precincts, commercial spaces, and high-quality residential properties. Our gardens are well-established, detailed, and maintained to a high standard - and we're looking for an Apprentice who's keen to learn how it's done properly.
This is a full-time Garden Maintenance Apprenticeship, where you'll work alongside experienced team members while completing a Certificate III in Horticulture. From lawns and hedging to feature gardens and structured landscapes, you'll gain practical skills across a wide range of sites throughout the Geelong region.

Key Responsibilities
With training and supervision, you will assist with:
General garden maintenance across commercial and residential properties
Lawn care including mowing, edging, weeding, and basic fertilising
Pruning, hedging, and shaping of plants as skills develop
Planting and seasonal garden maintenance
Identifying basic plant health issues and learning appropriate treatments
Cleaning, maintaining, and safely using tools and equipment
Ensuring all sites are kept clean, safe, and well-presented
About You
This role would suit someone who:
Has a genuine interest in gardening and outdoor work
Wants to build a long-term career in garden maintenance or horticulture
Takes pride in presentation and learning to do things properly
Can work as part of a team and follow instructions
Essential:
Willingness to complete a Certificate III in Horticulture
Driver's Licence
Reliable, punctual, and physically fit
White Card (or willingness to obtain)
Highly Regarded:
Any prior gardening, labouring, or outdoor work experience
Interest in plants, gardens, or landscaping
