This role is responsible for designing and optimizing Amazon’s fulfillment and transportation network, with a strong emphasis on long-term planning and cost-saving opportunities. You will play a key role in shaping the future of Amazon’s supply chain by developing scalable, data-driven strategies that balance cost, speed, and capacity while improving customer experience. As a strategic thinker and problem solver, you will analyze complex supply chain challenges, identify inefficiencies, and develop solutions that drive long-term operational excellence. You will collaborate cross-functionally with teams across Supply Chain, Transportation, Operations, Finance, and Technology to ensure that Amazon’s network is positioned for sustainable, cost-effective growth. Key Job Responsibilities Long-Term Network Planning: Develop multi-year network design strategies that align with business growth, customer demand, and cost efficiency. Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities by analyzing fulfillment and transportation flows, optimizing capacity utilization, and improving network efficiency. Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize large datasets, simulation tools, and network optimization models to evaluate future scenarios and inform strategic investments. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Tech teams to implement scalable and cost-effective network solutions. Program Management: Lead complex network design initiatives from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and key stakeholders. Scenario Modeling & Forecasting: Build what-if scenarios and forecasting models to assess potential risks and opportunities for long-term cost savings and network resilience. Process Improvement & Innovation: Continuously seek ways to enhance Amazon’s supply chain efficiency through automation, technology, and operational best practices. Stakeholder Communication: Present insights, recommendations, and updates to senior leadership, influencing high-impact decisions on network investment and cost management. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS3+ years of program or project management experience3+ years of working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience Bachelor's degree Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLook Ups) at an advanced level and SQLExperience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS3+ years of driving end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience3+ years of driving process improvements experience Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
