*This is a contract role finishing 1st January 2024. Open to Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide locations, with a hybrid working model of 1 day a week in the office. How will I help? As a Senior Operational Risk Manager supporting Group Procurement you will play a leadership role in implementing and managing risk and monitoring obligations, supporting consistent implementation, and embedding of risk management framework, policies and controls.  Accountabilities may include, but are not limited to:​ As part of a team of risk professionals contribute to ensuring the divisional and business operations and risk management practices align to the frameworks, policies, risk strategy, regulatory obligations, and appetite of the Group. Providing risk expertise to the business in the identification, assessment, and actioning of risk and controls issues to drive a strong risk and controls culture that helps achieve business objectives. Supporting the proactive and effective monitoring, management and reporting of current and emerging risks and facilitate a strong risk culture, risk awareness and ownership of risk throughout the business. Providing support to the business in developing their risk profile, including defining and operationalising relevant RAS metrics, in line with risk appetite. Providing risk advice in the assessment, root cause analysis and remediation of incidents. Providing input to regulatory requests and remediation and support the delivery of remediation programs. Providing input into the quality of ACCORD records and updates to drive a risk focussed culture. What’s in it for me? What do I need? The ideal candidate will 5 to 10 years’ experience as a risk management professional and at least 2 to 3 years at Senior Manager level or the equivalent. Strong banking, financial services or risk assessment experience, including a material risk policy component related to the relevant risk class as well as quality assurance, risk management, legal or compliance experience. You will have commercial acumen with superior relationship building, teamwork, influencing and negotiating skills and risk culture development and execution experience. Your Ability to think strategically and be innovative and to achieve objectives in a changing environment along with being proactive, organised, outcomes and customer focussed, will see you succeed in this role.
