​Our firm is partnering with a well established renewables IPP that represents a portfolio of over 4GW of renewables power generation worldwide. Here on the East Coast they have an established Wind/Solar portfolio that is supported by a talented greenfield development and transactions team.My client is seeking to engage a Finance Manager to bolster their rapidly growing team in Sydney CBD. Reporting to the Country Head of Renewable Energy, this role is responsible for delivering quality Cost control, reporting and financial support to key internal and external stakeholders in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.​Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:Manage Project reported positions to ensure compliance with Australian Accounting standards, and alignment to company policiesEnsure prompt billings of internal JV projects and reconciliation and assessment of non-recoverable costsPrepare project balance sheet reconciliations of projects and confirm recoverability of assets, and justification for liabilities.Assist the with internal and external audit queries for projectsReview Project Cash Forecast submissions and validate variancesReview payroll recharges and distribution to ProjectsAssist in the preparation of Reporting Forecast Project ReportsIssue of Tender Cost reports to tender teamsReconciliation of month end cost reports, and preparation of monthly revenue recognition entries for Projects.Preparation of Project Balance Sheet ReconciliationsPreparation of consolidated Regional Project Performance report with updated forecastsReview aged Debtors and liaise with project teams to resolve issuesThe ideal candidate will have:Qualifications in CA/CPA or equivalent finance related experienceGreat understanding of project accounting practises and related business systemsFluency in Microsoft office suite and accounting softwareProcess driven and excellent attention to detailThe role would offer an above market remuneration package with flexible working hours and an exciting opportunity to be apart of an industry on the forefront of energy transition.

New South Wales' state capital is Sydney, which is also Australia's most populous city. In June 2020, the population of New South Wales was over 8.1 million, making it Australia's most populous state. Just under two-thirds of the state's population, 5.3 million, live in the Greater Sydney area. The demonym for inhabitants of New South Wales is New South Welshmen.The Colony of New South Wales was founded as a British penal colony in 1788. It originally comprised more than half of the Australian mainland with its western boundary set at 129th meridian east in 1825. The colony then also included the island territories of Van Diemen's Land, Lord Howe Island, and Norfolk Island. During the 19th century, most of the colony's area was detached to form separate British colonies that eventually became the various states and territories of Australia. However, the Swan River Colony was never administered as part of New South Wales. Lord Howe Island remains part of New South Wales, while Norfolk Island has become a federal territory, as have the areas now known as the Australian Capital Territory and the Jervis Bay Territory.
