For our growing Australian subsidiary Aerius Marine Australia Pty Ltd we are currently seeking to fill a full time Assistant Project Manager position located in Adelaide (SA). The position is a key role within the Hunter Class Frigate program reporting to the Project Manager. Key Responsibilities Project manage a prototype contract inclusive of manufacture & installation, including planning, organising and coordinating the construction of the prototype as part of the Hunter Class Frigate program of the Australian Navy Create and maintain full project controls process for HCFP Reviewing project performance and reporting progress to senior management including budgetary performance, quality checks or project risks Support the development of the Project Schedule to represent the granularity required to monitor and measure schedule performance. Liaising with third party suppliers and contractors including agreeing the scope of works, verifying all work progress and authorising subcontractor payment certificates Create financial reports to display progress and present the findings to the customer Managing specified elements of change throughout the lifecycle, ensuring the respective change is enabled and approved for implementation and any additional contract requirements raised to the appropriate person in the company. Conduct a detailed analysis to accurately measure and allocate all hours to ensure all work is completed on time and within budget including identifying any discrepancies that require further investigation Ensure the appropriate level of cost collection per WBS is in place to allow for accurate reporting Create payment applications to recover costs from the client Raise invoices for authorised payment applications Producing weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for senior management to accurately identify budget variances, earned value and production norms Managing staff including setting objectives, identifying training and coaching requirements, and monitoring their performance Influencing other members of the business and client to help manage the delivery of the programme objectives. Monitoring the safety performance across projects to ensure a positive safety culture and practices are implemented accordingly as well as promoting a safety first approach to target a zero harm record Support the Managing Director, Project Manager and other senior members of the company on issues or tasks which may arise. Required skills and experience Minimum of 4 years' experience project management / controls experience within a shipbuilding environment (preferably complex Naval ships) Bachelor degree in business related field Project management qualification Experience with Autocad, Mechanical Desktop, FORAN and Tribon products.
