Base pay range A$110,000.00/yr - A$130,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Gramerci Managing Director@Gramerci | Executive Search | Strategic Recruitment Partner Multi-faceted role with development opportunities The opportunity is for an experienced Financial Accountant to join an investment manager and play a key role in their small yet growing team based in Brisbane in the inner northern suburbs. Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the annual and quarterly financial reporting, tax obligations, risk review and cashflow management as well as Payroll. You will provide financial analysis and financial insights and monitor corporate performance timeframes. You will provide the financial accounting function and risk reporting. This a key position in the finance team. Annual and quarterly financial reporting, including lease accounting. Liaise with auditor and external accountant for annual audit and annual tax returns. Uphold excellent relationships with the CFO, CEO, senior leadership team and site employees. Monthly journals and reconciliations Payroll processing (under 50 staff)Cashflow management for each entity Develop and review corporate and financial policies and procedures. Maintain risk register and reporting and assist with mitigation implementation and monitoring. Develop, manage and automate where possible, financial reporting, ensuring data produced is accurate, timely and professionally presented. Assist with external audit queries. Essential Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or above in Finance or Accounting CA or CPA qualification will be well regarded but not essential. High level financial and business acumen in a commercial environment. Demonstrated exceptional financial compliance knowledge and communication skills. Desired Knowledge Skills and Abilities Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a finance team and external experts to support compliance obligations. Highly developed personal communication and diplomacy skills that support the fostering of high-quality financial relationships inside and outside the organization. Entrepreneurial and commercial thinking Demonstrated capacity to understand the complexities of financial and tax obligations for multiple entities in Australia and for an international investor/client. Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a dedication to professional accounting and their chosen profession and have a genuine eagerness to learn and play a proactive role in this high performing team.
