Head of Risk Advisory, Assurance & Fraud Compliance & Risk (Banking & Financial Services)Full time Are you a seasoned risk management professional with a passion for driving strategic initiatives and ensuring robust risk management frameworks? We are seeking a Head of Risk Advisory, Assurance and Fraud to lead our team of experts in enhancing our risk management strategies and frameworks. This pivotal role will involve working closely with partners across the BOQ Group to implement, monitor, and provide targeted assurance of our Risk Management Strategy (RMS) and operational risk management framework (ORMF). In this role, you will lead a team of risk management experts to drive the implementation and monitoring of the RMS and ORMF. You will provide trusted advice to the business on risk management, issue and incident response, and control environment effectiveness. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices, you will drive a strong risk culture across the Group and embed key risk management processes. You will collaborate with various departments, including marketing, IT, and customer service, to achieve strategic objectives and minimize operational disruptions. Additionally, you will lead the design and implementation of an effective fraud risk management framework and monitor and report on risks, issues, and control environment effectiveness to enable proactive risk management. About you To be successful in this role, you will bring a proven track record in assurance and risk management, gained through roles in risk management, assurance, or internal audit within a financial services business. You will possess excellent leadership, project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to develop good working relationships and share knowledge effectively, are essential. You will have in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in risk management. A bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required, along with proven tenure in controls assurance, operational risk, internal audit, or other relevant risk management leadership roles. The ability to manage ambiguity and conflicting priorities, and to balance technical, commercial, and other issues to benefit the business, is crucial.
