How will I Help?
The Senior Manager, Portfolio Risk role will be responsible for managing risk and control matters for the Business and Wealth Risk & Regulatory Delivery Programs. Overall, the team is focused on the specialist delivery function for complex Business and Wealth transformation and is accountable for program-specific execution of divisional Risk and Regulatory Change.
In this role you will be responsible for implementing and embedding risk management frameworks, policies, and controls for projects within Risk & Regulatory delivery across the Business Division and delivering a consistent and prioritized approach within the Group’s guidelines and regulator expectations.
This position will span multiple initiatives including the delivery of solutions to risk and control problems utilizing a structured and predictable implementation process, underpinned by a commitment to fairly address issues and prevent their recurrence. You will also provide support to strengthening a risk culture that embodies our ethics and integrity, balancing commercial and customer needs.
Additional accountabilities include:
Provide end-to-end risk expertise in the identification, assessment, and actioning of risk and control issues to drive a substantial risk and controls culture that helps achieve business objectives.
Promoting a solid culture of control management optimization and risk mitigation in all dealings with the line of business, projects, and business analysts.
Risk & Control Matrix and other essential risk artifacts compilation and review and endorsement.
Project ‘risk in change’ management.
What do I need?
To be successful for this position you will need to have extensive risk management experience and a strong project management and risk and controls background.
Essential
3+ years of operational risk/compliance advisory experience in any risk or compliance team within the Group or another financial services organization.
Desirable
Degree qualified, minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
Change execution risk and Project transformation experience.
Capabilities
Able to build/uplift controls.
Relationship Management.
Analysis and Problem Solving.
Influencing and driving strong risk outcomes.
