The Opportunity We are looking for a highly driven Financial Systems Accountant to take responsibility in managing and optimising GUD's financial systems management including business intelligence reporting.

Collegial in your approach, you will work cross-functionally to review, enhance, and maintain all financial system policies and procedures, including systems access and creating visual reports that enhance efficiency, accuracy and governance.  Your solid background in accounting will be complimented by your strong attention to detail and proven track record of successfully implementing and managing financial systems in a complex matrix environment.  What a typical day involves Reviewing, recommending, and then driving projects that improve and automate our current financial systems Implementing controls for internal systems (policies and procedure efficiency improvements).

Designing and implementing internal system controls (preventative and detective) to provide quality assurance over financial data Ability to pull data from multiple data sets/sources, build dashboards and data tables, and develop operational and analytical reporting.

Managing the day-to-day operations, maintenance & updates of financial systems (Onestream, COGNOS, Promaster, Phocas) Provide ongoing support to all users to optimise the use of financial systems  What we need from you Highly engaging, you are pragmatic and appreciate the importance of connecting with stakeholders and balancing the needs of the business.

You will also have: Formal qualification in Finance or related discipline (desirable).  CPA/CA will be an added advantage Broad working knowledge of accounting systems  Advanced computer software skills, including Excel macros and other accounting packages Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience in communicating and influencing senior stakeholders Ability to collaborate, engage and train other finance staff Agile and adaptable to work within a fast-paced environment Commercially attuned to the business landscape to drive and influence outcomes Experience in managing complex integrated IT environments  Extensive knowledge of application software technologies, products, and services  What's in it for you?
