Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Java Tech Lead at GPayments located in Chatswood, NSW, with remote working flexibility provided you are resident in Australia. The Java Tech Lead will be responsible for: Working as a Technical Lead to manage projects and a team of up to 5 Java Developers Being accountable for both hands on coding, code review, and people leadership Training and monitoring the performance of team members Setting up development and CI environments Qualifications Demonstrated experience in full stack development with a minimum 5 years of experience as a Java Developer and 2 years of experience as a Tech Lead. Understanding of the software development project management lifecycle (end-to-end)Familiarity with Agile methodologies Exposure to at least some of the following: Documenting and building APIs, e.g. JSON, REST | Linux/web server technology | Production database services, e.g. My SQL, Postgres, Oracle, MSSQL | CI/CD tools, e.g. Git Lab CI/CD or equivalent | Amazon Web Services; e.g. EC2, S3, Elastic Cache, KMS, RDS | Container tools/microservices, e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS | Some payment / authentication industry experience beneficial but not required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven team leadership skills Ability to communicate and establish positive relationships with non-technical stakeholders.
