Through the delivery of services and implementation of new systems, processes and technology, we assist our clients to gain competitive advantage and reach new heights.RequirementsOur Federal Government Client is seeking multiple Front-End Developers / User Interface (UI) Designers which will be responsible for driving a human-centric approach to service delivery, focusing on understanding customer, business, and technology needs and balancing these to deliver effective digital services.We are seeking experienced Front-End Developers / UI Designers with a dual skillset, working across both disciplines to deliver intuitive, fit for purpose interfaces through a lean design process involving rapid prototyping, testing, and implementation of solutions. Candidates will work in multi-disciplinary teams to design and develop product improvements, features, user flows, user interfaces, and front-end development.You will work closely with others in the team to:Help define user-centric designs, iterate and improve to add additional value, based on user feedbackBe responsible for user-focused UI designs and specification of user flows, prototypes, high-fidelity interfacesPlan and perform user experience evaluation to check and confirm that usability and accessibility requirements have been metImplement UI component using HTML/CSS and JavaScript Work closely with the team's user researcher and designers to translate findings from usability testing into improvements for the user interfaceAdvocate and problem solve for user-centric design solutions with developers Coach back-end engineers on usability and front-end developmentAs a UI Designer, you will tackle complex problems and transform them into intuitive and easy-to-use designs. Then, communicate them by user flows, wireframes, and prototypes. As a Front-end developer, you will work with developers translating and problem-solving designs, POC and wireframes into modules and high-quality codes for the best usability and accessibility outcomes.Required skills and experience:Experience implementing responsive UI components for web applications and websites using HTML/CSS, ReactJS and/or Angular Experience using prototyping tools such as Adobe XD, Axure or Figma is highly desirableUnderstanding of design principles and systemsUnderstanding and implementation of WCAG 2.1 level AA guidelines as a minimum, how those guidelines relate to websites and applications, and how visual design, page and code structures and attributes affect accessibilityEssential criteriaDemonstrated experience designing user interfaces working within to an existing style guide and/or design system using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript framework such as ReactJS, and/or Angular.Effective communication skills with the ability to work with and influence multiple stakeholders, and clearly articulate design decisions through a well-conceived rationale.Demonstrated experience in working with others to translate findings from usability testing into actionable improvements to a user interface.Knowledge and implementation of Accessibility requirements - Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA as a minimum.Desirable criteriaDemonstrated experience designing wireframes, user interfaces, and interactive prototypes with a high attention to detail and ability to rapidly prototype, test, and iterate designs.Tertiary Qualifications in a design or computer science/ICT related discipline (Human Factors, Communication/Graphic Design, Systems Design, Psychology, Computer Interaction, Web development etc.)FinXL fosters a high-performing, inclusive workplace built on a foundation of excellence, respect and dignity.
