What you will do as the First Nations Coordination, Outreach and Advocacy Project Officer/Senior Project Officer As the Project Officer or Senior Officer, you will act as a key contributor in the team, and will help to deliver work on our First Nations enduring priority relating to conduct in breach of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) as well as: Mentoring and guiding junior employees, including First Nations employees, in their APS career journeys.

Using your strong communication and interpersonal skills to help build, manage and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships.

Assisting in problem solving including by partnering with specialist functions within the ACCC on matters impacting First Nations peoples, such as investigations and enforcement matters.

Contributing to a diverse, dedicated and high performing team across multiple work streams.

Overseeing and performing secretariat functions to support the Chair of the National Indigenous Consumer Strategy (NICS), comprising membership of federal, state and territory and nongovernment consumer and financial services entities.

This includes arranging meetings, invites and writing Agendas and Minutes for the meetings.

Contributing your experience towards helping to deliver a First Nations outreach program that ensures First Nations' consumer and business concerns are heard.

About you In order to succeed in the role, you will have: Demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive relationships with team members and stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, concise and articulate manner and to share information within a diverse team to help achieve positive team outcomes.

Demonstrated commitment to improving outcomes for First Nations peoples, particularly those residing in remote communities.

Demonstrated ability to manage projects to completion including by way of proactive engagement with your supervisor in order to gauge satisfaction with project progress.

An understanding of the ACCC's role and functions, or the ability to quickly acquire them.
