ABOUT THE ROLE
The General Manager - Finance is a senior leadership role responsible for leading the finance function across multiple business units, with reporting lines to executives within the region.
This position combines financial control, FP& A leadership and business partnering, with a strong focus on building capability, improving processes and supporting strategic decision making.
This is a highly visible role where you will lead a team of finance leaders and work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation. The role is weighted towards forward-looking finance, with a strong emphasis on planning, analysis and commercial insight, while maintaining oversight of core financial reporting, compliance and governance.
You will play a key role in enabling the next phase of growth, supporting a business targeting significant expansion over the coming years and positioning the finance function as a true partner to the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the finance function across multiple business units, ensuring accuracy, integrity and timeliness of financial information
Drive budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes aligned to business strategy
Provide commercial insights and support decision making across operations and leadership teams
Oversee financial reporting, compliance, audit, tax and internal controls
Lead finance business partnering to support growth, cost management and performance improvement
Build, coach and mentor a high-performing finance team, including multiple direct reports
Improve systems, processes and reporting frameworks to enhance efficiency and scalability
Support board reporting and senior stakeholder engagement
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE CA or CPA qualified with significant experience leading finance functions within complex organisations
Strong background across financial reporting, FP& A, budgeting and forecasting
Proven leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams
Experience in inventory-based or product-driven environments highly regarded
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders
Ability to simplify complex financial information into clear and actionable insights
Experience working in multi-entity or multi-brand environments is advantageous
Systems mindset with experience improving processes and financial infrastructure
