If you thrive on positive energy, we want to meet you!Job Description The Head of Finance - Commercial will partner with the Director of Merchandising Endeavour (Exco member) supporting Endeavour and retail Brand strategies with revenue of +$10 Bn. With a strong commercial growth and transformational mindset you will drive business performance through effective leadership, thought leadership and actionable insights. You will also provide strategic finance support to Endeavours Retail Media business, Mix In. The role has 3 direct reports and total team size of 9 FTE's. Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role: Proactively deliver insightful analysis and commercial recommendations to the business. Proactively manage, agree and communicate business Budget/Forecasts and any other strategic planning requirements (i.e. 5 year plan), monitoring category performance against plan, establishing early warning signals to ensure that plans are met or that corrective actions are taken. Provide strong cross-functional leadership, ensuring Merch performance drivers are transparent and understood by FP&A, e Com, Marketing, Loyalty and Operations. Partner with the Director of Merchandise to deliver the strategic agenda for Retail Trading and Mix In. Providing strategic recommendations in line with Strategy to the Merchandise Executive team and Brand GM Finance/LT. Partner with the GM Merchandise to operationalise revenue and earnings growth through commercial decision making. Play the role of ‘commercial advisor’ in all category activities, including supplier negotiations and discussions. Support promotions builds, ensuring optimised performance based on category strategy. Work closely with finance peers to achieve best practice and ensure consistent reporting and processes. Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to direct reports and across the broader Endeavour finance and commercial teams. Qualifications Now let’s talk about you: Minimum of 12+ years relevant experience with CA/CPA Qualification. Previous management experience of multi-functional team and/or experience in the retail or FMCG sectors desirable. Strong presentation and storyboarding skills and able to communicate complex financial information to a broad audience. Ability to prioritise team efforts to support business requirements. Advanced experience using financial systems in a commercial environment (e.g. Excel, Power Point). Advanced leadership, coaching, mentoring and development skills. Advanced time management skills.
