The Role As the Head of Technology Delivery & Operational Excellence at Telstra Health, your leadership is pivotal in advancing the company's vision of delivering connected and improved digital health experiences. By overseeing technology delivery and operational excellence initiatives, you play a central role in ensuring the successful execution of technology delivery and efficiency and driving continuous improvement across the organisation. Key responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment, setting clear goals, and promoting continuous improvement and effective communication Manage relationships with technology vendors, partners, and service providers, evaluating their performance, negotiating contracts, and ensuring alignment with business objectives, service level agreements (SLAs) and other agreed metrics. Develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, identify opportunities for cost saving and ensure alignment with strategic objectives and financial policies Provide strategic direction and leadership in technology delivery and operational excellence, aligning initiatives with business objectives and priorities to drive innovation, efficiency, and business value. Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards. Drive the adoption of agile methodologies and practices within the technology delivery team Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the performance and effectiveness of technology delivery and operational excellence initiatives, tracking progress and providing regular reports and insights to senior management. Establishment of metrics and ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness of all systems used by Telstra Health and products provided to its customers. Management of Infrastructure and other vendors costs balancing speed of delivery with long term cost management strategy, including reporting of costs back into products. Establishment of best practices in tooling and processes to ensure the accurate reporting and tracking of project and product costs across a functional model, enabling investment planning. The candidate must meet the requirements to obtain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency Baseline Security Clearance. Australian citizenship is essential for this application. About you: Experience in implementing or operating organisation wide Agile methodologies at scale Experience in managing a team of senior managers and stakeholders Experience in managing offshore vendors and their performance Proficient in budget management, establishing reports, vendor management and cost management. Experienced in business transformation and embedding change within new and established teams Experience in working within a matrix organisation structure Experience in managing people leaders and working through others A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as information technology, business, economics, or a related discipline.
