$50 – $65 per hour
35 hours per week (7 hours per day)
The Role
We are seeking 2 Assistant Project Officers to provide vital administrative and project support across disaster planning, recovery, and reconstruction initiatives. You will help streamline processes, manage small projects, support senior staff, and ensure smooth operations within a high-performing government team.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver administrative support including HR, finance, purchasing, travel, and vendor management
Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and project documentation
Support meetings and committees with agendas, minutes, and follow‐ups
Assist in managing small projects and improving administrative systems Support risk monitoring and basic research to inform project planning
Manage senior staff diaries and scheduling
About You
Experience in administration or project support
Strong organisation and time management skills in a fast‐paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and ability to work independently and in teams
