We’re looking for a standout FINANCE EXECUTIVE
We are seeking a seasoned FINANCE EXECUTIVE (FE) with extensive experience in the water industry, including water engineering companies, OEM suppliers for water applications, and chemical manufacturing and distribution. The FE will play a critical role in driving financial strategy, optimizing operational performance, and supporting the overall growth and success of the organization.

LOCATION
You will be required to perform your duties at Aqualyng ICES Brisbane Office; however, you may be required to work at other locations as per operational or business needs dictate.
SUPERVISOR/MANAGER
Your day-to-day reporting line manager will be to the Chief Executive Officer.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies, budgets, and plans to support the company's growth objectives and financial targets.
Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team and board of directors, including recommendations for capital allocation, investment opportunities, and risk management.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Oversee financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
Conduct in-depth financial analysis, performance reviews, and variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Financial Operations and Controls:
Establish and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Optimize financial operations and processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness across the organization.
Strategic Decision Support:
Supporting the CEO of the Company by providing financial insights, analysis, and decision support for key strategic initiatives, investments, and business development opportunities.
Evaluate and assess the financial viability and impact of potential projects (EP/C & BOT), acquisitions, and partnerships to inform decision-making and maximize shareholder value.
Cash Flow Management and Capital Optimization:
Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital effectively to support ongoing operations, investment activities, and strategic initiatives.
Optimize capital structure, financing options, and capital allocation decisions to maximize returns and minimize cost of capital.
Stakeholder Communication and Relationship Management:
Serve as a key liaison with external stakeholders, including investors, lenders, regulators, and auditors, to ensure transparency, credibility, and trust in the company's financial management and reporting.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, fostering collaboration, alignment, and accountability across departments and functions.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
Tertiary Engineering or Project Management qualifications and/or extensive experience in a similar role.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, with a focus on the water industry, including water engineering and service companies, equipment supply for water applications, and chemical manufacturing and distribution.
Strong financial acumen and technical expertise in financial analysis, financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Proven track record of driving financial strategy, operational excellence, and business performance in a complex and dynamic business environment.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior executives.
Experience working in the water market and familiarity with local regulations, standards, and industry dynamics.
Candidates with a broader background in finance leadership roles within engineering and/or service firms in the infrastructure space are also encouraged to apply.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This is a full-time, executive-level position based in Australia, with occasional travel required as needed.
