About Public Fertility Care The focus of Public Fertility Care is to offer high-quality, safe and affordable care that is inclusive and culturally safe and improves access to fertility services for those who are currently underserviced by the private sector. This includes single people, Aboriginal Victorians, LGBTIQ+ Victorians, people with a disability, people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities, people from regional/rural communities and people living on low incomes. About the role A regular day will see you: Draw on your fertility counselling experience to ensure all counselling provided to patients and families meet relevant legislation and guidelines and are aligned to The Women’s vision and values Help patients manage the psycho-social challenges that accompany Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART)Deliver counselling that recognises the social determinants that affect people’s fertility and fertility choices, and the cultural, gender, ability and social diversity of our patients. Support the Counselling Manager to maintain clinical protocols, guidelines and work instructions, which promote best practice and evidence-based standards. Salary range is in accordance with respective Social Work or Psychologists Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (F/T Grade 2 or 3 (SC21 - SC34 or Grade 2 or 3 PK1 - PL4). About you You’ll bring with you: Full Membership of, Australian and New Zealand Infertility Counsellors Association (ANZICA)At least a 4-year academic qualification from a recognised academic institution for the relevant profession deemed suitable by the Australian professional association/s or regulation agency evidenced by: Current registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA) without restrictions, or A member of, or is eligible for membership of, the Australian Association of Social Workers Minimum of 2 years of Clinical Counselling experience Clinical knowledge and skills around reproductive health, reproductive loss, and fertility issues A working knowledge of relevant Victorian ART legislation, fertility counselling guidelines and Reproductive Technology Accreditation Committee (RTAC) code of practice A commitment to working as part of a multi-disciplinary fertility unit and offering exceptional experiences to our patients.
