Position Overview The occupant of this position will provide high level scientific, technical and regulatory policy support to the Gene Technology Regulator. Key Responsibilities Lead technical specialist teams that evaluate data and conduct risk assessments for applications in relation to dealings with genetically modified organisms. Demonstrate leadership within the team contributing to team performance, productivity and accountability for outcomes. Contribute to the development of strategic regulatory and scientific advice regarding the regulation of gene technology and genetically modified organisms. Represent the OGTR in discussions with other government and non-government agencies, industry, consumer and community organisations, scientific fora and the public.
