The opportunity
Reporting to the Bid Manager, you'll play a key role in our pre-construction team. You'll develop BOQs from tender documents, issue subcontractor and supplier tender packages, review pricing for scope coverage and exclusions, prepare like-for-like tender comparisons, and present final pricing recommendations for inclusion in tender submissions.
What you'll do
Prepare BOQs, take-offs and pricing build-ups from drawings, specifications and tender documents
Issue tender packages to subcontractors and suppliers
Review quotes for scope coverage, exclusions, assumptions, qualifications and addenda
Complete tender comparisons to identify the best value for money offers
Present final pricing, clarifications and commercial notes to the Bid Manager
What you'll bring
Experience in estimating, tendering or pre-construction within commercial construction
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in commercial construction estimating
Strong ability to read drawings, specifications and scopes of work
Sound commercial judgement when reviewing subcontractor pricing and identifying scope gaps
Strong relationships with subcontractors/suppliers & a detail-focused approach
Intermediate level Excel proficiency including formulas and data analysis
Experience with estimating and tender software will be highly regarded
Added bonus if you have AGSVA clearance.
