While MEGT continues to operate as a GTO via our Recruitment and Management Services (RMS) team, they are also Australia’s largest single Apprentice Connect Provider delivering Australian Apprenticeship Support Services on behalf of the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR). Position Objective: The Enterprise Architect is responsible for defining, upholding, and promoting the enterprise architecture vision, ensuring alignment with business strategies and objectives. This role involves developing the future state technology architecture, assessing current systems, and guiding technology decisions to support long-term business goals. The Enterprise Architect will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure the technology landscape is scalable, secure, and capable of supporting emerging business needs. Some of your responsibilities include but are not limited to: Deliver pragmatic technology strategy and architecture to enable and accelerate the business’ transformation journey. Work IT and business to guide strategic direction, drive practical and architecturally aligned outcomes. Manage the strategic roadmap for technology architecture aligned to the business strategy. Drive the innovation, simplification and modernisation agenda to propel business growth. Own the lifecycle of the technology strategy, ensuring it meets business goals over time. Influence the long-term technology strategy. Lead an enterprise-wide view recognising application of IT and exploiting IT assets. Lead the development of initiatives, technology roadmaps and strategy, based on requirements from all facets of the business. Prioritise the contribution that technology can make to business objectives, defining strategies, validating and justifying business needs, conducting feasibility studies, producing business models, preparing business cases, overseeing development and implementation of solutions taking into account the implications of change on the organisation and stakeholders. Maintain a high level of capability via development, direction and coaching of the IT team. Sponsor initiatives to align the organisation to target state architecture. Build strong relationships with business stakeholders. Drive the centralisation of technology initiatives, ensuring alignment and synchronisation across multiple departments and disciplines. Evaluate existing platforms, architectures, and strategies to identify inefficiencies and implement fundamental improvements. Lead the design of services and repeatable patterns to aid the business strategy. Develop and deliver technical presentations, proposals, systems design, configuration, costing and strategies. Provide guidance on best practices during design and implementation in all areas including network design, operational models, API integration, network management, ITIL process integration. The successful candidate will have (Mandatory): Minimum of 10 years of enterprise architecture experience. Relevant technology or business degree. Knowledge of various IT domains, frameworks, standards, and trends. Demonstrated professional IT competencies such as information strategy, technical strategy and planning, business change management, relationship management, human factors, skills management, and supply management. Demonstrated ability and experience in building EA capabilities in similar sized organisations. Demonstrated experience developing and driving the Technology Strategy in a large, complex organisation going through a significant period of change. Minimum 10 years’ experience across senior Strategy, Solution Architect and Enterprise Architect roles, directing the development of enterprise-wide architecture and processes. Experience in constructing and designing innovative and efficient technical solutions, including the use of emerging technologies to support the project delivery life cycle. Experience in leading, coaching and growing teams across business analysis, enterprise and solutions architecture to shape technology solutions aligned to business needs.
