Tay Creggan, located in Hawthorn, is Melbourne's first independent Year 9 campus established in 1969. Tay Creggan provides a unique educational experience designed to meet the needs of the students at this pivotal age of development. The award winning, full academic program at Tay Creggan teaches important life ready skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, design capability, collaboration, communication, wellbeing and the fostering of meaningful relationships. Year 9 students develop and take initiative, engage their enterprise skills and gain in social maturity as they transition from Middle School to Senior School. Strathcona Girls Grammar seeks to appoint an experienced and innovative educational leader to the position of Head of Tay Creggan, with a high level of interest in entrepreneurship and creating bespoke programs for students. The Head of Tay Creggan role is a pivotal leadership position and is responsible for the daily academic and wellbeing care of students, together with the operational needs of a standalone campus, to ensure high standards of learning and growth for the Year 9 cohort and staff. Working closely with the Year 9 Mentor Team and dedicated educators, you will provide visionary leadership, steer the implementation of top-tier wellbeing initiatives, and oversee each student's academic journey. Your excellent resource management skills will be required as you prioritise student welfare, learning outcomes, and growth of the Year 9 program. This role is multifaceted, ranging from managing campus logistics to overseeing student activities and the management and development of our staff.
