About the role - Head of Boarding Since 1909, the Boarding House has been an integral part of life at Firbank. Students from rural Victoria, interstate and overseas live onsite in Tovell House, our purpose-built boarding facility. Firbank Grammar are seeking a dynamic and compassionate leader to deliver a unique and world-class Boarding experience for both our domestic and international students. The Head of Boarding will be inclusive to the needs of all Boarders and their families, providing a supportive and structured environment where every student is known and feels a sense of belonging. The successful applicant will need to have: • Experience in providing pastoral care to students from year 7 - 12 • Experience in organising and managing a small team of staff • Ability to relate well to adolescents • Demonstrated experience in managing a budget • Tertiary qualifications in community services, youth work (or similar) or teaching desirable • Current Working With Children Check or VIT registration • Current Australian Boarding Schools Association Duty of Care accreditation, or be eligible for accreditation • Current first aid qualifications, or be willing to undertake training • Victorian Driver’s License Please review the Position Description attached for more details about the role.
