The role will report to a Head of Employee Relations and Work Health and Safety and be responsible for leading the Employee Relations (ER) team members on complex ER cases, as well as advising, influencing and coaching business managers to improve the employee experience and overall organisational performance You'll work with a highly experienced leader, who provides his reports with a good balance of autonomy and support, strongly focused on empowering the team to undertake their roles and be high performers.Responsibilities in the role: Lead, guide and advise ER team members on complex ER issues, policy advice, employment legislation and enterprise agreements in the context of issues being managed.Provide subject matter expertise, coaching and advice to other HR functions and business leaders on a broad range of ER matters, including employee entitlements, employee grievances, conduct and/or performance matters, HR policies, processes, guidelines, documentation, and activities, ensuring matters are dealt with in a timely manner.Provide advice on organisational restructures, ensuring all outcomes are compliant with Allianz's obligations under employment legislation and the applicable enterprise agreement.Educate, influence and train key HR functions and business leaders in relation to Employee Relations matters including updates to relevant legislation and regulations.Identify, assess, and manage any Employee Relations risks, including representing Allianz at the Fair Work Commission in litigated matters, hearings and conciliations.Collate and record Employee Relations data to identify trends and develop appropriate remedial strategies, working with key HR functions and the business leaders to implement.Ensure and ongoing review ER letter templates and documentation to assure they are accurate, contemporary, consistent and align with legislation. To be successful in the role: You'll have a Tertiary qualifications in Law, Human Resources or related discipline.Significant experience in providing specialist ER and HR advice as well as coaching business managersExpert knowledge, understanding and application of Fair Work legislation, industrial instruments, modern awards, enterprise agreements and employment contracts.Advanced knowledge and application of performance improvement, grievance, investigation and misconduct processes and approaches.Will be helpful to have prior experience leading a teamExperience partnering with key HR functions to advise and execute on strategies and projects, with a focus on HR policy, process, and employee experience.Experience responding to unfair dismissal and adverse action claims applications at the Fair Work Commission and providing representation at conciliation.The ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with diverse team members.Demonstrated ability to coach and influence senior colleagues in the business.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact and influence.Proven analytical and critical thinking capability to interpret a range of data, identify patterns, trends and links that inform judgements and solutions. During the 19th century, most of the colony's area was detached to form separate British colonies that eventually became the various states and territories of Australia. However, the Swan River Colony was never administered as part of New South Wales. Lord Howe Island remains part of New South Wales, while Norfolk Island has become a federal territory, as have the areas now known as the Australian Capital Territory and the Jervis Bay Territory.
