Our client is a market leader in Structural Steel Construction. Headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, they specialize in designing, manufacturing and full construction projects in the Industrial, Mining, Retail and Education sectors. They are currently seeking a talented and motivated Draughtsperson to join their growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects in Western Australia. This is a role where you will be exposed to detailing and ultimately move into a more senior position within the company. Responsibilities: Produce detailed working structural steel drawings, for projects in the Industrial, Construction, Education and Retail Sectors Ensure compliance with Australian building codes and local council regulations Work closely with Estimating, Architects, and Construction teams to refine and enhance designs Take ownership of the detailing and documentation process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy Identify opportunities to streamline drafting workflows as the business scales Maintain meticulous records and ensure seamless coordination across all project phases Requirements: Strong knowledge of Structural Steel including drawings and detailing Previous experience using Tekla software Experience working on Industrial/Commercial based projects Demonstrable experience in a similar role Excellent organizational and communication skills Proficient in reading and understanding technical drawings Job Offer: This is a permanent position.
