The Director, Business Development (ANZ) is a motivated, entrepreneurial leader responsible for expanding Vexos' presence and customer base across Australia and New Zealand.
This role will focus on acquiring new OEM customers and expanding relationships with existing accounts for our Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS), printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA), and electro-mechanical product offerings.
The incumbent will balance a portfolio of new opportunities and existing customers to maximize growth, profitability, and brand recognition in the ANZ region.
This position reports to the Vice President, Business Development and collaborates closely with the global Vexos operations, engineering, and supply chain teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES Identify and develop new customer opportunities across Australia and New Zealand within key OEM markets such as industrial, medical, Io T, energy, and communications.
Map regional EMS market potential, focusing on medium-to-large OEMs with outsourcing opportunities.
Lead customers through the Vexos sales process from prospecting to program launch, ensuring high engagement and customer satisfaction.
Build strong, long-term relationships with customer decision-makers including supply chain, engineering, and executive leadership.
Develop and deliver compelling proposals, quotations, and presentations demonstrating Vexos' technical capabilities and global value proposition.
Potentially work with and manage regional independent sales representatives to extend market coverage and enhance business development reach across Australia and New Zealand.
Drive and coordinate all aspects of new program development including quoting, NPI, and qualification activities in collaboration with engineering and operations.
Maintain regular interface with customer teams to understand requirements, resolve issues, and identify future opportunities.
Analyze territory potential, pipeline performance, and profitability metrics.
Prepare forecasts, budgets, and performance reports aligned with corporate growth objectives.
Represent Vexos at key trade shows, industry events, and networking functions within the ANZ region.
Work closely with all Vexos' global manufacturing sites to align customer requirementswith site capabilities.
Partner with internal teams to ensure successful project transitions from business development to program management.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field required.5-10 years of progressive business development or sales experience in the electronics manufacturing (EMS) or OEM electronics industry.
Strong understanding of the electronics manufacturing process and outsourcing models.
Proven track record in identifying, developing, and closing complex B2 B solutions within industrial, medical, or technology markets.
Entrepreneurial and self-directed, capable of building a regional footprint from the ground up.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence executive- level decision-makers.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, (or similar CRM), and Linked In Sales Navigator.
Willingness to travel frequently across Australia and New Zealand and periodically to global Vexos manufacturing sites.
