Huon’s Projects and Engineering team are on the hunt for a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join the team at our Port Huon workshop on a 7 days on/7 days off roster.
The role
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the role includes but is not limited to:
- Working closely and collaboratively with a small team of dedicated mechanics and fitters.
- Ongoing servicing, maintenance, and repairs to a range of marine engines and installations.
- Daily work routine in a fast-paced and often unpredictable environment.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience with diesel engines and hydraulics in a marine or similar environment is essential.
- Trade qualifications as a diesel mechanic, diesel fitter, small engine mechanic, or a recognised qualification as a hydraulic technician is highly regarded.
- A strong and proven work ethic and attitude towards the role and the team.
