Job Number: R0168880Database AdministratorKey Role:Establish and manage data access and support practices for Microsoft SQL Server. Apply advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise including full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Design, install, configure, and maintain database systems to meet organizational needs. Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve issues. Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data availability and integrity. Ensure database security by implementing access controls and monitoring user activity. Develop and implement data retention and archiving policies. Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to design and implement database-driven applications. Develop and maintain database documentation, including schema diagrams, data dictionaries, and system documentation. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other stakeholders. Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in database management and administration.Basic Qualifications:3 years of experience in database administrationExperience with database management systems (DBMS) and relational database conceptsExperience with database administration tools, such as Oracle Enterprise Manager, SQL Server Management Studio, or MySQL WorkbenchExperience with data modeling and database design principlesExperience with backup and disaster recovery technologies and techniquesAbility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information SystemsOracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) CertificationAdditional Qualifications:Possession of excellent analytical and critical thinking skillsPossession of excellent communication and collaboration skillsVetting:Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client.CompensationAt Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD).
