The Public Sector Commission (PSC) are seeking two (2) Senior Consultants, to join the Policy, Conduct and Performance team. Opportunities have arisen for two (2) senior consultants within the Policy, Conduct and Performance unit. You will play a critical role in the successful delivery of quality advice and high-level services to support changes from the public sector reforms and contribute to sector wide priorities. Key responsibilities include: • assist with the development and enhancement of whole of government employment frameworks • partner with agencies to build capability for driving high employee performance and managing complex performance and conduct issues • supporting agencies to implement the employment framework through the provision of expert advice and the development of sector wide strategies and resources. For more information please see the attached role description (located below). Your team: The PSC administers the Public Sector Act 2022 and the Public Sector Ethics Act 1994. The Policy, Conduct and Performance team has a critical role in implementing public sector reforms contained in the new Public Sector Act 2022, and will be a key contributor to Coaldrake reforms (Review of culture and accountability in the Queensland public sector) to drive a culture of accountability and performance through good governance and leadership. The Policy, Conduct and Performance team also assists public sector agencies to implement workforce policy advice. We do this by establishing frameworks, policies and standards for workforce management, and partnering with agencies to build capability in managing workforce issues. Feeling successful in your new role may be supported by: • flexibility in your written and verbal communication, with the ability to tailor your approach to various cohorts • previous experience working within policy or conduct • HR experience, providing advice or services relating to HR matters, conduct and performance • strong attention to detail, accountability and the ability to actively seek information to support your decision making • experience dealing with various stakeholders, delivering quality outcomes in a team or individual capacity.
