As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role in executing business development strategies for complex technologies linked to defence projects. Your focus will be on identifying new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and driving revenue growth. You will also lead a high-performing BD team and work closely with the CEO and senior management to position the client for long-term success.
The role:
- Develop, implement, and oversee a BD strategy aligned with growth objectives.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, enhancing brand reputation.
- Identify and capture new business opportunities.
- Ensure revenue and sales targets are met.
- Lead the production of compelling business proposals.
- Develop, train, and manage the BD team to ensure high performance.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, competitors, and potential market expansion opportunities.
About You:
- Strategic thinker with strong project management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Expertise in BD would be advantageous.
- Relationship development.
- Must have AGSVA Security Clearance.
- Experience in Defence/Government learning & development markets.
- Must be an Australian citizen and have the ability to attain AGSVA clearance.
Ideally, candidates will have a traceable history in BD, although our client would be receptive to people willing to learn the BD lifecycle. Candidates with knowledge of tools like Shipley and CRM platforms like Dynamics365 or Salesforce are preferred.
This role would suit a former member of the ADF who has experience in capability and a working knowledge of how CASG operates.
