Join our team at Mc Connell Dowell Group for an iconic SA civil infrastructure project. We have multiple opportunities for Civil Supervisors to collaborate with a high-performing construction team, delivering a key social infrastructure project in South Australia.

The Project

Mc Connell Dowell and CPB Contractors, along with design partners Mott Mc Donald, Arup, and Aurecon, have been awarded the Tram Grade Separation Projects as an Alliance. This project involves replacing level crossings at Marion Road, Cross Road (MAC), and Morphett Road (MTX) with tram overpasses, improving network efficiency and safety for all users.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently allocate and manage the performance of plant, labour, and subcontractor resources to ensure production targets are met, and all activities comply with relevant specifications, codes, and standards.
• Organise, coordinate, and direct construction activities in line with construction schedules to complete the works on time and within budget.
• Promote a culture of safe work practices and environmental protection, ensuring hazards are identified, risks assessed, and control measures planned and implemented.
• Report and mitigate performance issues.
• Contribute positively to team morale and performance, both within your direct team and in collaboration with other teams.
• Assist in fulfilling statutory and construction reporting requirements.

Position Requirements

• Trade qualification relevant to the construction, building, or manufacturing industries (preferred).
• Minimum of five years' experience in construction management as a Site Supervisor.
• Experience with plant and equipment on a construction site.
• Proactive problem-solving, evidence of effective planning, and follow-through.
• Strong leadership and management skills, results-oriented.
• Sound working knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation.
• Exceptional vigour and energy, accompanied by good oral and written communication skills.

A competitive salary, commensurate with this key role, will be offered to the successful candidate. These positions are based at one of three project construction sites, metro-Adelaide, south of the CBD.
