Salary: $77,000 to $80,000 plus 12% Super

Experience required: Minimum 3 to 4 years’ experience as a Chef.
Lilymu is a contemporary Asian-inspired restaurant located in the heart of Parramatta Square. Our team is committed to excellence by delivering high-quality dishes, exceptional presentation, and an outstanding dining experience. We are looking for a professional CHEF to join our fast-paced kitchen. This is a challenging role where you will be required to be hands-on, calm under pressure, and lead from the front.
The ideal candidate will be expected to perform the following duties including but not limited to:
• Ensure smooth running of the kitchen by coordinating activities with other staff.
• Ensure that cooking, meal preparation and presentation (including special dietary requirements) meet customer needs and are performed in accordance with quality assurance standards, hygiene and cleanliness regulations.
• Lead the culinary team in developing and executing a diverse and enticing menu that enhances the customers’ dining experience.
• Infuse creativity and flair into dishes, showcasing culinary expertise and keeping the menu fresh and exciting.
• Manage and inspire the kitchen brigade, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
• Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Ensure food portions and presentation meet company standards
• Implement quality control measures to maintain the highest standards of food safety and hygiene, check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items.
• Conduct menu tastings and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and refinement.
• Work closely with management to control food costs, optimise kitchen efficiency, monitor food stock and place orders.
• Source high-quality ingredients while maintaining cost-effective practices.
• Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff to enhance skills and maintain a cohesive team.
• Stay updated on industry trends and share knowledge with the team.
• Proficiency in Rostering and recruiting kitchen staff.
• Achieve KPI’s set by management
Qualifications
• Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or relevant qualifications
Skills and Requirements
• Previous experience as a working Chef.
• Advanced knowledge of culinary arts and Asian cuisine techniques.
• Strong focus on sanitation and quality control.
• Ability to manage stocktaking and place supply orders.
• Excellent multitasking ability.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment.
• Passion and pride for delivering exceptional food.
