Role Overview
Are you a creative, skilled chef who thrives in a fast-paced, vibrant kitchen? Frankie B’s Parramatta, renowned for its modern Italian and contemporary dishes, is looking for a Chef to elevate our menu and deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Key duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Craft and execute signature dishes like wood-fired pizzas, Pistachio Zeppole, Rib-Eye Steak, and specialty burgers with precision, creativity, and flair.
• Oversee food preparation and presentation, ensuring every dish meets Frankie B’s high standards for taste, consistency, and visual appeal.
• Collaborate closely with management, dietitians, and front-of-house staff on menu planning, dietary considerations, seasonal specials, and kitchen workflow.
• Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff, sharing advanced cooking techniques from perfect pizza dough and hand-made pasta to delicate desserts and intricate plating.
• Innovate and experiment with new dishes, flavors, and cooking methods to keep the menu fresh, exciting, and aligned with Frankie B’s style.
• Maintain strict hygiene, safety, and quality standards across all kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with all food regulations.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and monitor food and labor costs to maintain efficiency without compromising quality or creativity.
• Troubleshoot kitchen challenges, resolve preparation issues, and ensure smooth service during high-volume periods.
• Contribute to a positive, high-energy kitchen environment, fostering teamwork, motivation, and a culture of culinary excellence.
Qualifications:
• Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery (Preferred but not mandatory).
• Diploma of Hospitality Management (Preferred but not mandatory).
Other Skills and Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Chef or relevant to the role
• A chef with hands-on experience in Italian, modern Australian, or fusion cuisine.
• Advanced cooking skills, particularly in wood-fired pizza, specialty pasta, and delicate desserts.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
