Our client, Infra Optics Pty is seeking an experienced Cabler to support its telecommunications operations across commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects.
Tasks Include:
• Reviewing and interpreting technical drawings, plans, and specifications to determine cabling routes, equipment locations, and connection requirements
• Preparing work sites by identifying access points, pathways, and materials required for efficient installation
• Installing, terminating, and testing copper and fibre optic cabling systems for data, voice, NBN, and network infrastructure
• Installing and commissioning telecommunications equipment and peripherals and attaching.
• Performing jointing, splicing, and sealing of cables and conduits to maintain network integrity and durability
• Conducting fault finding and diagnostics on existing telecommunications systems using appropriate testing equipment and tools
• Repairing, replacing, and upgrading cabling and network components to restore or improve system performance
• Ensuring all installations comply with relevant Australian standards, carrier specifications, and company procedures
• Maintaining accurate records of work completed, test results, and any variations to original plans
• Working collaboratively with supervisors, project managers, and other trades to meet project timelines and quality expectations
• Adhering strictly to workplace health and safety policies, including safe work practices when working at heights, in pits, or on live networks
Qualifications and other requirements
• Have a Certificate III qualification or higher in Data and Telecommunications
• At least 1 year of experience as a welder in the last 5 years
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision
• Knowledge of metal properties, welding quality control, and industry standards
• Good physical condition and stamina to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong safety focus and understanding of relevant health and safety regulations
