About the Role
We are seeking a skilled APS6 Automation Engineer to join a high-impact technology team driving digital transformation within a large-scale federal program. This role focuses on automation of Salesforce environment provisioning using custom applications and scripts, streamlining processes across a complex IT landscape.
You'll work within a fast-paced, purpose-driven division that is responsible for managing environments that support key platforms and services. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to meaningful work that helps support Australians with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
???? Design and implement automation using Salesforce CLI plugins and Node JS-based applications
???? Streamline the provisioning of Salesforce Sandboxes via repeatable, automated processes
???? Determine optimal automation approaches-UI/API/integration of existing tools
???? Identify and resolve technical issues arising during automation iterations
???? Define and deliver a roadmap for rapid environment provisioning
???? Integrate automation solutions into CI/CD pipelines
Essential Criteria
✅ Experience developing Salesforce CLI plugins for enterprise environment provisioning
✅ Strong skills with Salesforce Tooling API and Node JS (Java Script/Type Script)
✅ Familiarity with Salesforce plugins like sfdx-hardis and browserforce
✅ 2-3 years' experience building full-stack Node JS apps using frameworks like React, Vue, or Next.js
✅ Strong communication and team collaboration skills
