We are seeking skilled and experienced AV installation technicians to support our upcoming project work.
This is a great opportunity - as an experienced AV Technician you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of projects within budget and to a high standard, while maintaining quality standards and practices, safe work practices, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the day-to-day tasks of project work to ensure the successful completion of projects within budget and to a high standard.
Ensure that work is carried out with safe work practices and maintain a high level of support and customer satisfaction.
Install professional AV equipment, set out installation works according to specification and instruction, and set out, cut, and install cables such as conduit, cable tray, ducting, and wire systems.
Rack wiring, termination, monitoring, testing, and labelling, as well as reading and interpreting schematic diagrams, panel drawings, and rack layouts.
Record and maintain relevant documentation pertaining to commissioning, line test and commission cabling systems, including field and inter-rack cabling.
Travel to regional and remote client sites when required, provide on-site training and mentoring, and observe WH&S standards ensuring all work is completed in a safe manner.
Maintain a high level of support and customer satisfaction, as well as completing unskilled tasks such as deliveries, cleaning, rubbish removal, and running errands as directed by supervisors.
Oversee small groups of staff and projects with minimal supervision, provide solutions on ICT & AV equipment problems, and assist the commissioning team with the testing and commissioning of AV systems.
Liaise with clients regarding the progress of projects by working closely and communicating effectively with other trades on site, such as electricians and builders, on a day-to-day basis.
Perform other duties as required.
Ideal Candidate profile
Minimum 3+ years of experience within AV
Trade qualification in electronics, communications or audio visual or demonstrated industry equivalent.
Holds a current open cable licence is desirable
Current First Aid qualified or willing to obtain qualification
Current valid Driver’s License and Personal Vehicle
Australian Citizenship to be able to access Secure Agency material.
