We are looking for a skilled professional with experience in workers' compensation, whether from an employer or insurer background, to become a valuable member of our Mercer Marsh Benefits team in VIC. This hybrid position is based in Melbourne, offering the flexibility to work from home while ideally spending at least three days a week in our office in the CBD.
In this role, you will provide professional operational support to a specific Mercer Marsh Benefits client through the administration of injury management software, insurer liaison and back-office injury management accountabilities. This is an ideal entry level position in Workers Compensation consulting and injury management profession, with an opportunity for significant on the job development and progression of a career in this space.
We will count on you for:
Administer preferred injury management software (Solv Injury) for a specific client and maintain this database
Support the national claims team across all jurisdictions
Liaise with insurers regarding injury management activities – certificates, RTW plans, and other documentation
Develop Return to Work (RTW) plans and triage new claims
Produce and/or format reports, manuals, presentations, and other correspondence or documents
Work with specific policies and procedures
Work within agreed client KPIs/timeframes – generally responding/updating within 24 hours
Assist with workers' compensation payroll, maintain and organise the client inbox
Organise and maintain file systems, file correspondence, and other documentation
Support the Workers Compensation team during busy periods
Read and route incoming correspondence
Take, type, distribute meeting minutes, and perform other tasks as directed by the manager
What you need to have:
High School Certificate or equivalent;
Tertiary qualifications in administration or related studies;
Tier 1 compliancy will be required and facilitated by Mercer Marsh Benefits upon commencement
Strong attention to detail/accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good organisation and time management skills
Computer literate (intermediate Microsoft Suite, i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point)
