Community and Demographics: Mordialloc College is located immediately adjacent to the eastern beaches of Port Phillip Bay and enjoys excellent bus and rail access to neighbouring municipalities. It is a single campus 7-12 college and has been an integral part of the local community since its establishment in 1924. The school has grown significantly over the last seven years with whole school enrolments just over 1200 students including international students.
Selection CriteriaApplicants should provide evidence of their experience and ability to meet the following selection criteria:

The assistant principal reports directly to the principal and has a primary responsibility for the management of significant areas or functions within the school to ensure the effective development, provision and evaluation of the school's education program.
ResponsibilitiesAt Mordialloc College, the Assistant Principal (Teaching & Learning) will be expected to undertake duties including:
- Supervision and coordination of the work of curriculum coordinators;
- Supervision and coordination of the work of sub-school teams;
- Allocation of budgets, positions of responsibility and other resources within the area of Teaching & Learning;
- Supervision of the delivery of teaching programs;
- Management of programs to improve the knowledge and capacity of staff;
- Responsibility for behaviour matters beyond the management of classroom teachers, year level coordinators, and sub-school directors;
- Contribute to the overall management of the school.
Appropriately qualified individuals currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
