We have an exciting opportunity for a energetic and enthusiastic Senior Electrical Distribution Designer to become part of our highly motivated Victorian team. The Role
Working together with the experienced senior team to deliver project outcomes, your responsibilities will be:
- Coordination of Design Team activities and projects
- Designing of Masterplans for Residential / Industrial / Commercial Electrical Designs
- Distribution Design of HV and LV networks
- Public Lighting Design – Vic Roads / Council
- Distribution Asset Relocations
- AS3000 Design
- Provide design solutions to ensure the best outcome for constructability
- Work independently and as part of a team environment
- Ongoing customer communication with project process
- Provide QA according to the utility standards
The successful candidate will work together in a team environment to deliver successful outcomes in Electrical Design within our South East Melbourne Office.
Experience / Skills
The candidate will be required to have the following experience / skills in order to fulfill the role Murtec Group is seeking:
- Minimum 3 years’ design experience within the Australian electrical distribution industry. Preferably experience in VESI (Victorian Electrical Supply Industry)
- An Electrical Engineering Degree, Diploma/Advanced Diploma or Electrical trade qualifications is preferable
- High Expertise in Auto CAD
- Proven work background and established consultancy experience to tackle the challenges in overhead and underground design projects relating to the power industry
- Ability to lead and motivate the team
- Highly motivated and determined individual
- Have and maintain a current Australian driver’s license
