Job Description Staged and personalised career progression plans to help you achieve your career goalsMarket leader in sustainability that is actively building a better world Be part of one of the largest infrastructure projects built in VICCompetitive salary in line with experience + discretionary bonus + salary sacrifice optionsThe Opportunity Due to our Acciona, MACA, AECOM Alliance being selected as the preferred bidder on the northern package we are seeking to appoint a Traffic Engineering Manager working out of the Melbourne CBD office initially but moving to site as required.The Project The north package covers the design and construction of the North East Link between the M80-Plenty Rd interchange and the north tunnel entrance at Watsonia. Works include 2km of new freeway upgrade, 3km of new freeway, separation of local roads from the freeways, almost 2M.m3of earthworks, retaining walls, bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be completed by late 2028.Key accountabilities for the position Set up, implementation and ongoing management of traffic plans through all stages of the projectManagement of a team of traffic engineersAnalyse and assess staging and operational strategies looking at risk and opportunitiesProvide with traffic guidance system any traffic change and coordinate provisional change with appropriate authoritiesEngage and manage various consultants and subcontractors on the projectMake the forecast and budget for all traffic related expenses during Project execution.Manage the delivery of traffic engineering on time and within budget.Ensure that appropriate technical standards requirements are maintained on Project.Develop methodologies and appropriate costing to address client requirements.Ensure the health, safety and welfare at work of all employees placed under your control or direction.Notify supervisors or OH&S representative about hazards or other safety matters you are aware of.Required Skills and Competencies Tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction, risk management, traffic management or similar ideally with experience working for a contractorExtensive experience developing traffic management solutions for high impact activities on roads as part of complex staged programsExperienced manager with and ability to lead and mentor and deal with a range of stakeholders internally and externallyA skilled & capable project manager in relation to forecasting, programming and budget control#LI-LG1ACCIONA has been given theTop Employer 2022 certification in Australia, which certifies the company's commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
