Responsibilities

The team's mission is to build infrastructure, platforms, and technologies, as well as to support cross-functional teams to protect our users, products, and infrastructure. In this team, you'll have a unique opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to the company's security strategy, especially in building scalable and secure-by-design systems and solutions. Our challenges are complex and not typical day-to-day technical problems; you'll be developing new solutions to unprecedented challenges at scale, making a significant impact.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform penetration tests and security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and business-logic failures in core product ecosystems such as Tik Tok, Cap Cut, Lark Suite, and Lemon8.
• Design and develop security tools to identify vulnerabilities and optimize the product security review process.
• Conduct architecture and design reviews to ensure applications meet high security and privacy standards, maintaining user trust.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to provide security guidance and co-design complex production systems.
• Create exploits for n-day vulnerabilities and perform variant analysis across codebases to assess vulnerability impact.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of security engineering experience, including penetration testing, source code review, design review, threat modeling, security mitigation development, or security tooling development.
• Proficiency in at least two programming languages from Kotlin, Swift, Type Script, Go, or Python.
• Deep knowledge in web application security, mobile app security, network security, OS internals, cryptography, and cloud computing, with expertise in at least one area.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Over 2 years of experience managing an engineering team, demonstrating leadership and resilience.
