Eden Ritchie Recruitment are seeking a skilled Senior Communications Advisor to join a high-profile transport infrastructure project team. This dynamic role is focused on driving strategic communication initiatives, fostering meaningful community engagement, and supporting the delivery of key project milestones.

Rate: $77.02 per hour + super

Location: Buderim, QLD

Contract term: 3 years

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and implement strategic communication plans aligned with project milestones.
2. Drive proactive community engagement and manage public consultation processes.
3. Create and tailor messaging for media, social platforms, newsletters, and executive materials.
4. Act as liaison between project stakeholders, contractors, and government entities to ensure cohesive and transparent communication.
5. Support senior leadership with briefings, presentations, and speeches.
6. Monitor media sentiment, address emerging issues, and coordinate crisis communications.
7. Advise on and report outcomes of community engagement activities.
8. Mentor and support a high-performing communications team.

Prerequisites:

1. Minimum five (5) years’ experience in communications and community engagement within infrastructure, construction or government.
2. Strong stakeholder management and media liaison skills.
3. IAP2 Certification or willingness to obtain.
4. High-level writing, editing, and project management skills.

Desirables:

1. Degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related discipline.
2. Current Class ‘C’ Driver’s Licence.
3. Familiarity with Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia frameworks.
