Trane has an exciting opportunity for an experienced HVAC Controls Technician based in Brisbane. Trane Technologies is the exclusive OEM and service division for Trane, with direct access to the Trane factory, technical literature, training, and spare parts. Reporting to the Area Services Manager, your role is to provide exceptional support as part of a team of professional service technicians, responsible for carrying out operational, maintenance, and repair works on commercial BMCS and Plant Control Systems across Brisbane and the surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities Include

Diagnosis, repair, validation, and commissioning of building automation systems using knowledge of DDC, airflow, hydronics, refrigeration, and control strategies.
Troubleshooting, repairs, quoting remedial works, and planned maintenance.
Servicing products and equipment on-site, ensuring customer satisfaction through diagnosis, quoting, and repair.
Coordinating with team leader and customer to understand requirements, examine building layouts, forecast issues, and organize on-site work.
Staying current on Trane and Trend products related to DDC systems.
Enforcing safety standards in compliance with corporate and legislative requirements.
Maintaining professional relationships with customers, colleagues, and peers, working both autonomously and within a team.
Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays as required.

Qualifications and Skills

5+ years of relevant industry experience.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Current QLD driver’s license and Construction Induction Card.
Trade qualification in relevant trade.
Understanding of HSE requirements.
Knowledge of BMS engineering principles and energy conservation.
Hands-on experience with building management systems.
Experience with small service projects and HVAC control products (preferably Tridium/Trend/Tracer).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
