Responsibilities Your main duty is to lead the Commissioning department to achieve the objectives established at the Business Plan. You will have many responsibilities, resolving issues, and ensuring completion of work prior to deadlines, monitoring product quality, creating various reports, ensuring adherence to government procedures and regulations, replacing equipment, implementing planning strategies, interacting and negotiating with clients and third parties, and acting as a leader at all times. You must oversee all aspects of the planning, implementation, and completion of Testing & Commissioning project works. You will develop and enforce a budget for their works, as well as supervise and manage workers and field personnel in executing the Testing & Commissioning works. You also must ensure all safety measures and regulations are followed, as accident prevention and worker safety are high priorities in this potentially dangerous environment. You monitor work progress and coordinate with the rest of the Project Team to deliver progress reports. You are needed to develop the implementation plans and subsequently monitor activities of your team, ensure progress and safety, and oversee quality control testing. Duties You will: i. Supervise the actual progress of the projects to meet the set schedule. ii. Review of Contracts and Test Annexes. iii. Technical advisor for the department, other departments of the Group and for the Client. iv. Control and implementation of tenders. v. Planning and management of work teams. vi. Control and analysis of projects (development, planning and closure). vii. Management of measurement equipment purchases. Analysis of new technologies. viii. Commercial and contractual relations with clients and subcontractors. ix. Plant performance and production analysis. x. Cost control and invoicing. xi. Report to the Project Manager and/or Project Director and will be the first point of contact in managing the works related to testing & commissioning of the Solar Farm. xii. Provide commissioning engineering expertise and to monitor closely one of the most important milestones of the project. Reporting to the Construction Manager helping manage the commissioning and contractual requirements. xiii. work closely to QA/QC manager to define and prepare all the required documentation for the acceptance of the works; xiv. work closely to QA/QC manager to define and prepare the equipment and staff required to carry out all the procedures and start up; xv. Review sites and create metrics and goals to achieve design intent and ensure processes are optimized. xvi. Manage clients and contractors to reach objectives. xvii. Create reports and site-specific documentation about progress, completion and obstacles. xviii. Verify equipment installations and environmental compliance. xix. work closely to planner and construction team to coordinate the sequence of the works and areas; xx. Be the maximum responsible to solve any problems that might arise during the start up of the solar farm; xxi. Prepare the reports regarding the procedures with all the incidents and their resolution; xxii. Work closely with H&S team to minimize any risk and to stablish the safety measures to be implemented once the plant is energized; xxiii. Coordinate all the test to check the PR of the solar farm; xxiv. Oversee and supervise field personnel and subcontractors; xxv. Be accountable for site-related action; xxvi. Ensure all work is completed in line with the project schedule; xxvii. Ensure that relevant HSE, Quality and contractual requirements are applied and adhered to; xxviii. Allocate and coordinate jobs to your workgroup; xxix. Develop and effectively communicate the Project Plan and schedule to workgroups; xxx. Ensure that the required materials and equipment are available on site to meet installation dates; xxxi. Ensure the quality of work meets the required standards and conduct work audits on job completion; xxxii. Ensure the delivery of the job within time and cost targets by effective supervision; xxxiii. Resolve any site issues, with direct interface with the client, through coordination meetings or discussions; xxxiv. Promote leadership and teamwork within the workgroups; xxxv. Manage and monitor the implementation of all health, safety and environmental management obligations and systems at the site; xxxvi. Prepare weekly installation reports and issues/risks; xxxvii. Ensure works are delivers as per contract agreements; xxxviii. Effectively communicate any issues to the relevant parties; xxxix. Preparation of the daily report with all the machinery, manpower, staff and performance reached in the day. Requirements Tertiary qualifications in Industrial Engineering; Experience in similar role(s) is required, with experience within the renewable energy sector necessary, as too, experience in international work sites. The position is full time (38 hours). Location is Brisbane, QLD (4000). Immediate start.
